To celebrate the Golden Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II in 2002.
The inspiration behind the design is the priceless treasure, the Imperial Mantle - a large cloak made from gold thread and embroidered with roses, thistles and shamrocks. The robe is only worn at the coronation.
The eminent English artist William Edwards was commissioned to design a unique collection of fine bone china. William is a graduate of the Royal College of art and personally designed the beautiful shapes chosen for the collection and adapted the Cloth of Gold design for them
