Rare Ltd. Edition 137/350 Lithograph By French Artist Georges Pierre Guinegault
Depicts boats in the harbour with fishermen on the bank by their boat and is signed in pencil by the artist lower right.
Georges Pierre Guinegault was born in Rennes, France on March 27, 1893. As a 19-year-old boy he began his fine art studies at l'Ecole des Beaux Arts* in Paris.
Beginning in 1920 he exhibited at the Paris salons.
He became a member of the Société des Artistes Français* and exhibited extensively with this group.
Guinegault painted many Orientalist* scenes, but is best known for his paintings of women. He painted seductive nudes and portraits of fashionable ingénues. His style is very similar to the works of Jean-Gabriel Domergue, and his signature is also similar.
He illustrated several books including Heures Galantes. Quatre Poemes, by Jean Noury, c ... Displaying 750 of 933 characters.
