George Sear (b.1937).
George Sear is an artist and graphic designer. Born in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. He studied art and graphic design at Watford College. At the end of his apprenticeship in 1960, he moved to a London Advertising Agency . He has worked in various art studios, and London advertising agencies, and is managing director of Clearways Arts in Watford. He has exhibited in London and widely throughout the U.K. His paintings have been commissioned and purchased for private collections and publications in the UK and abroad. He paints a great deal in the Chilterns, East Anglia and locations nationwide. Signs his work GEO. SEAR .
He started painting at the age of 6 years, with personal encouragement and tuition from the Head Master at junior school. After finished schooling and Art College he served a seven year apprenticeship as a Graphic Artist in the printing industry. He had a break for two years National Service with the RAF at Aden, but he still managed to continue to paint.
