Fabulous Large Framed and Glazed Print of a Tiger by Leonard Pearman.
Leonard Pearman was a British genre painter of wildlife. In his realistic portrayals, he often focused on African or Artic animals set in their natural habitat, including tigers, polar bears, lions, and leopards. Born in 1912 in Birmingham, United Kingdom, Pearman served in the Royal Air Force and was shot down during World War II, spending three years as a prisoner of war at the infamous Stalag Luft German prison camp, which was immortalized in the film The Great Escape. After the war, Pearman studied portraiture at the Marlborough School of Art in Chelsea before embarking on his career as an artist. He exhibited regularly with both the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Society of Wildlife Artists. The artist died in August, 2003 in the United Kingdom
